It has been revealed that the hotel room Princess Diana was staying in during the days leading up to her death, the Ritz Hotel, Paris, had been bugged.
Her phone calls were being bugged by US spies without British approval; however, investigators believe that this had nothing to do with her death.
After a 2million Scotland Yard inquiry, former Metropolitan police chief Lord Stevens will announce this week that their was no murder, conspiracy or cover involved in Princess Dianas death.
Lord Stevens is expected to report that 39 documents relating to the tragedy that claimed the lives of Diana, Dodi Al Fayed and her driver Henri Paul, was just an accident.
The main reason for the crash on the Pont dAlma tunnel in Paris was Henri Pauls speed and the fact he was under the influence of drink and drugs.
This quashes Mohammed Al Fayeds claims that his son Dodi and girlfriend Diana were murdered because she was four weeks pregnant with Dodis baby.
Mohammed has maintained since the 1997 tragedy that the couple were murdered and a letter written by Diana 10 months before her death that read: My husband is planning an accident in my car, brake failure and serious head injury to make the path clear for him to marry.
It is hoped that the outcome of the inquiry will put an end to the vast numbers of conspiracy theories relating to Dianas deathI doubt that some how.
