The programme that Steve Irwin was filming when he died earlier this year will be broadcast on TV in January.

Irwin was filming off the coast of Queensland in September when he was struck through the heart by a stingray�s barb; since then he has been mourned around the globe.

The Discovery Channel and Animal Planet TV networks have announced that they will simultaneously air �Ocean's Deadliest� in the US on January 21.

The special is expected to be a huge ratings winner; it is as yet unknown when the show will be broadcast in the UK and Australia.
