Last night's show was love song night and the contestants were up for it. But the real shocker came when the final unlucky two were announced � Ray and Nikitta.
Ray sang �Crazy Little Thing Called Love� and was deemed a one trick pony with yet another swing version of a classic, whilst Nikitta sang a rather wet version of �Last Dance� by Donna Summer. Both artists were pretty lame in their first performance, but Nikitta definitely stole the show in the sing off.
Hilariously, Louis Walsh voted for Nikkita to stay and Sharon Osbourne for her to go. It was so obvious they were setting Simon up to make the casting vote so he had to get rid of his own act. Simon Cowell being Simon Cowell dragged it out�then when he finally made up his mind, he changed it again and voted off Nikitta! Unbelievable! Don�t get me wrong, Ray is a fun entertainer but Nikitta was by far the better singer. She was robbed! The question is, was she too much competition for Simon�s little star Leonna? Mmmm.. I wonder?
In all honesty the rest of the show was quite flat and many of the acts didn�t have the �umph� this week. Eton Road had been given cheesy eighties dance moves to do, which ruined their performance. Ben started off weak but managed to pull it back. Leonna had a cracking performance but it was the same as all the other performances (its getting a bit boring). I no longer have any comments to make about the MacDonald Brothers (snore!), though they had improved this week.
Star of the show � Robert! Robert wowed the audience after being in the final two last week and gave in my opinion the best performance. He sang �Always and Forever� and all the judges thought he was fantastic! His voice was controlled and soulful with a velvet tone that matched the song perfectly. For his personality alone this guy deserves to win, he�s so positive and humble. You can see that he really appreciates the opportunity.
It�s a shame for the other acts that the songs chosen just didn�t make the grade or they just couldn�t pull them off. Can we have a theme next week that includes decent songs the acts can sing? Please!
I think this show is turning into a comedy! The motivation for watching is now� How will Louis and Sharon annoy Simon this week? Is it right that this should be at the contestant�s expense? These are people�s lives we�re talking about.
Either way I think the judges are hilarious � Simon is down to two acts now so it�s all even stevens. Next week is gonna be a cracker! I wonder if Simon will storm off again?
