Roman Polanski To Appear In 'Rush Hour 3'

Film maker Roman Polanski is set to step out in front of the camera for a new film.

Polanski will be playing a French policeman in new film �Rush Hour 3�; it will be the first time that the director has acted on film since he featured in �Chinatown� in 1974.

�Rush Hour 3� director Brett Ratner persuaded Polanski to take the role during a chance encounter.

Polanski lives in Europe in exile after fleeing America in the wake of his pleading guilty to having sexual intercourse with a minor.

In �Rush Hour 3� Polanski will be acting alongside Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
