The man who has allegedly been stalking actress/singer Hilary Duff has been arrested.

Police arrested Maksim Miakovsky, an 18 year old Russian after he threatened to kill Duff over the weekend.

According to TMZ.com, Miakovsky was charged with making criminal threats and stalking.

Duff has previously attempted to get a restraining order against Miakovsky saying that he "has stated his intention of 'removing' his 'enemies' (i.e., those who prevent him from being with her), has stated his intention of purchasing a weapon, and has threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions to get her attention."

A private investigator made contact with Miakovsky last Friday at a motel; it was there that Miakovsky told of his intention to kill Duff at an event she was scheduled to be attending on Sunday.
