Disney have given Mel Gibson their backing, despite reports they had pulled out his new film Apocalypto following his drink-driving arrest.
Gibson famously launched into a vile, anti-semitic tirade after being arrested for drink-driving earlier this year, and Disney apparently responded by pulling out of distributing his new film.
However, now Walt Disney Company spokesperson Dennis Rice says the company will be promoting and distributing the movie, released on 8 December in the US.
He explains to Reuters, �If it's a good movie, people are going to see it. One of the great things about Mel Gibson is that he is a great filmmaker and he has a proven track record.�
