Al Pacino To Win AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award

US actor Al Pacino is to receive the American Film Institute�s Lifetime Achievement Award next year.

Chairman of the AFI, Sir Howard Stringer said of Pacino: "His career inspires audiences and artists alike,"

He added that Pacino was "an icon of American film".

Pacino had won various awards in the past including an Academy Award for his role in �Scent of a Woman�, he has also been presented with Cecil B. De Mille Award at the Golden Globes ceremony in 2001.

The AFI lifetime achievement award will be presented to Pacino at a tribute dinner in LA on June 7 next year.

Hopefully no one will bring up 'Devil's Advocate'...
