Ordinary Boys singer Preston has admitted that his bands last album was the least exciting record ever made.
The frontman explained that the whole band were depressed when making Brassbound, which would have most probably sounded the death-knell for the band if it wasnt for Prestons starring appearance in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
He confides to The Sun, Our last album Brassbound was just rushed and unplanned and, well, so depressing. I cant stand listening to it. We were depressed making it. (It) was a quarter-life crisis. Apart from the single Boys Will Be Boys, Brassbound is the least exciting record ever made.
However, Preston is more upbeat about his groups third album Ten Steps which draws on his experiences of the showbiz world following his marriage to fellow Big Brother contestant Chantelle.
He explains, Im still in that celebrity world and really enjoying it. I have a total fascination for it and the fickleness and ridiculousness of it. But Im not complaining. The narrative of the album is potentially me - someone who gets seduced by vanity. But Id say Ive only achieved three of the ten steps.
I appreciate the fun Ive had but Im happy to go and work in a post office if I have to as I understand the fickleness of fame, take it with a pinch of salt and am just happy to be making music again.
