Bindi was supposed to present the award for Favourite Australian Artist with her dad, but decided to do on her own after the tragic death of her father.
Steve Irwin died last month after he was struck through the heart by a stingray barb while filming off the coast of Queensland.
Dressed in khaki, Bindi arrived at the awards show with her mother Terri and her manager John Stainton.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, when asked why she was presenting the awards Bindi said of her father: "It's kind of sad that he couldn't be here but it's nice that I can be here to do it."
While onstage presenting the award to Guy Sebastian Bindi said: "Isn't this great?"
"I'm the smallest presenter but I get to give the biggest award."
