Razorlight have knocked Scissor Sisters from the number one slot with their new single America.

America is the second single to be lifted from Razorlights eponymous album and climbed 14 places from last weeks download only sales position.

Scissor Sisters had held on to the top spot for an impressive four weeks with I Dont Feel Like Dancin.

Other new entries came from the legendary David Hasselhoff with Jump In My Car and further down My Chemical Romance charted at 23 with Welcome To The Black Parade.

In the album chart, The Killers debuted at number one with their second long-player Sams Town.

They heavily outsold Evanescenes Open My Door and the Scissor Sisters Ta-Dah which slipped to three.

Jets turgid new album Shine On came in at 13.
