George Clooney has dismissed talk of him running for political office despite a major role lobbying politicians about the Darfur crisis.

Clooney says he won�t be following fellow Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger into the political arena.

At an event aimed at banning investment in Darfur he was asked a number of times about his political ambitions and calls for him to enter office, to which he replied "I think they're probably kidding".

According to the BBC he added that going into politics was �a bad idea�.
