As Diaz and her boyfriend Justin Timberlake were leaving the home of a friend in Hollywood, a photographer jumped out of the bushes and attempted to take a picture of the couple.
The couple chased the snapper after he ran away, then according to police officer April Harding: "The photographer got into his car and drove toward Diaz and Timberlake, causing Diaz to jump out of the car's way,"
"The investigation is in its initial stages," added Harding.
No one has yet been arrested for the crime of assault with a deadly weapon�we will keep you posted.
