The Who kick-started their American tour last night with a show at Philadelphia�s Wachovia Center.
As well as airing all the classics, the band also played material from their upcoming new album �Endless Wire.�
After they had rattled through the epic seven-song mini opera from the long player, Pete Townshend thanked the crowd for their patience.
As the Beeb reports, he said: Thank you for putting up with it - I know it's tough to hear new music."
�Endless Wire� is The Who�s first album in 24 years.
