Australian authorities have revealed that a number of stingrays have been found dead on the coast of Queensland.
Local authorities believe that the Stingrays, which have been mutilated, have been victims of Steve Irwin fans avenging the Crocodile Hunters death.
Irwin was killed last week after he was struck through the heart by a Stingrays barb.
So far, 10 Stingrays have been found killed, two have had their tails cut off in attacks that Irwin would have found horrific.
Michael Hornby, the executive director of Irwins Wildlife Warrior Fund said to the BBC: "We just want to make it very clear that we will not accept and not stand for anyone who's taken a form of retribution. That's the last thing Steve would want,"
"I hope everyone understands we have to protect wildlife now more than ever. This is what Steve was all about."
A public memorial service for Irwin will be held next week.
