On September 5th 2006, Freddie Mercury would have turned 60. This Tuesday for the first time ever the public will be able to discover his true story and celebrate his life.
After long negotiations with Jim Beach, Queen�s manager and one of the trustees of Freddie Mercury�s estate, ITV Arts department have managed to secure unparalleled and exclusive access to Freddie�s close friends and collaborators.
These include his boyfriend Jim Hutton, his personal assistant Peter Freestone, close friends David Evans and Peter Straker, musical collaborators Roger Taylor and Montserrat Caballe and celebrity fans including McFly, Robbie Williams and Mike Myers.
This fascinating and entertaining documentary includes exclusive interviews with Freddie�s mother, Jer Bulsara, and sister, Kashmira Cooke. It also features never heard before audio interviews of the great man himself.
An accomplished musician and legendary showman, Freddie and his iconic band Queen sold a staggering 80 million albums around the world and helped define popular culture in the 1970s and 80s.
