�Desperate Housewives� actress Marcia Cross has conformed that she is expecting her first child.

Cross, 44, married her stockbroker husband Tom Mahoney earlier this year; their baby is expected in April 2007.

Producers on the hit TV show have yet to decide whether or not to write the pregnancy into the show.

It is a definite possibility as the third series of the show will see Cross� character Bree Van Der Kamp marrying her second husband Orson player by Kyle MacLachlan.

We will have to wait and see�
