Bob Dylan has stormed to the top of the American charts for the first time in three decades with his latest offering Modern Times.
The legendary songsmith sold 192,000 copies in its first week with his acclaimed long-player.
More impressively, hes become the oldest living person to go straight to the top of the US album chart in its entire history.
Steve Barnett of Dylans label Columbia, said: "We couldn't be more thrilled that fans have responded to it so enthusiastically by putting Bob at number one, which is where he belongs."
The album has now gone to number one in eight countries. It missed out on the top spot last week to Kasabian and Snow Patrol charting at three.
Modern Times is Dylans first American number one since 1976s Desire which topped the charts for five weeks.
