Steve Irwin's Family Set To Turn Down State Funeral

The father of Steve Irwin has said that his son would not want the state funeral being offered by the Australian Government.

Speaking about his son Bob Irwin said the world famous Crocodile Hunter was an ordinary bloke who wouldnt have wanted such as grand funeral.

However, according to the BBC he added that the final decision on the arrangements would be made by Irwins wife Terri.

Bob Irwin, who founded the Australia Zoo that made his sons name said: "He's just an ordinary bloke, and he wants to be remembered as an ordinary bloke.

Terri Irwin is yet to make a public statement on her husbands death but did address fans at Australia Zoo on Tuesday via the parks public address system.

"It was very brief. She was very choked up," a spokesman for the zoo told the Associated Press.
