US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi were involved in a car crash in LA last Friday.

The couple suffered only minor injuries; after stopping at a red light on Sunset Boulevard in their Porsche  Carrera two men, thought to be paparazzi, in a Buick stopped behind them then a woman drove into the Buick which in turn smashed into the back of DeGeneres� car.

The woman who caused the pile up, Jeanne Werber was arrested on suspicion on drink driving.

Werber has since denied she was under the influence and told TMZ.com: "I'm just a normal wife. I went to the grocery store and was going home."

"I will prove I wasn't drunk�the car in front of me stopped short. I thought it was insurance fraud."

According to the LAPD Werber refused to submit to a blood test which in California could result in the loss off her licence.
