Pop star Nick Lachey is reportedly starting up his very own basketball team with his old friend A.J. DiScala.

Lachey and DiScala will head up a consortium of celebrity owners for new team �The Hollywood Fame� that will be joining the American Basketball Association.

�The Hollywood Fame� will kick off its season this November in the Los Angeles Sports Arena with a brand spanking new squad.

DiScala said to People magazine: "We're excited about 'The Hollywood Fame' bringing highly skilled basketball players to the fans of Los Angeles. We are creating a unique family entertainment option at affordable prices."

And hopefully he along with Lachey and numerous other �celebrities� will make a little money from the project too�
