Big Brother may be moving from its natural home of Channel 4 after the next series.

The long standing contract between production company Endemol and Channel 4 expires after series 8 and rumour has it that ITV are desperate to snap it up for whatever price.

ITV are already in talks with Endemol over relocating the hit TV show and Channel 4 are being realistic about the programmes future.

Yesterday, Channel 4�s director of programme Kevin Lygo said: �I am sure ITV have been in conversation with Endemol.

�I think they have been for a year and there is some acceleration now. Next year it is on Channel 4. Beyond that it hasn�t been decided but we want to keep it on the channel.

�If it goes, it will be with our full knowledge. But I don�t want that to happen and I can�t see it happening.�
