The all new �Superman�, Brandon Routh has announced that he has proposed to his long term girlfriend Courtney Ford.

The couple have been dating since 2003 and plan to marry next autumn in the wake of Routh�s �Superman� success.

A representative for Routh, Kacey Spies said to People: "They are very happy,"

Routh and Ford will star together in the short film �Denial� scheduled for release soon.
