Charlize Theron has defended her latest movie amidst criticism that it shows a pro-American bias towards Cubas current problems.
The film East Of Havana tells the story of three young rappers who have their love of hip hop censored by the communist authorities.
Critics have attacked the movie for having a rose-tinted view of Americas current trade embargo on the country.
However, Theron defended the movie saying: I think in the film we really address the America-Cuba relationship. If there is any political comment it was through (the characters') voices - it's their story not our story."
"In no way are we saying America isn't at fault here."
"Do you actually think in America this is seen as a pro-American film? If we really made a film about the embargo it wouldn't make sense. It's ridiculous."
