Heather Mills-McCartney has attempted to silence her critics by branding her estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney a �control freak�.
Mills yesterday submitted her petition for her divorce for the high court in London which is believed to focus on how Macca �always put his own interests above hers�.
In the former Beatle�s petition, he claimed that Mills was �argumentative� and �rude to staff�.
A friend of Mill�s has revealed to the Daily Mail that Mills was smothered by McCartney�s controlling behaviour.
She said: �In recent weeks everyone has been able to see how controlling he is by the way he has locked her out of the marital home and written legal letters about her borrowing cleaning fluids,�
�She also had to put up with the fact that he would change his plans at a whim and expect her to drop everything to be with him. He did not care that she also had work to do.�
The couple split in May after four years of marriage they have one daughter together, Beatrice who is just two years old.
