Steven Gerrards fiance Alex Curran has been arrested for assaulting a teenage girl in the early hours of Friday morning.
The WAG and mother of two is alleged to have hit the 18-year-old girl with her handbag outside the Shangri-La Chinese restaurant in Liverpool at 2.50am.
The alleged victim, who suffered an eye injury, is believed to have claimed that she was struck by Curran with a glass bottle.
The incident is believed to have happened after a series of taunts were launched at 23-year-old Curran.
After the incident, Alex went voluntarily to a police station where she handed over her handbag for forensic tests. She was arrested for the assault, then answered police questions and was released on bail.
The alleged victim was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital and was later released after treatment.
Police said in a statement: Its believed there was a group of about five men and women involved.
A 23-year-old woman from Formby was arrested on suspicion of assault and later released on police bail.
Steven Gerrard had earlier been eating out with Curran, but left at 10.30pm to get some rest where she remained with two friends.
Alex Currans spokeswoman refused to comment, saying: This is now a matter for police and we cant comment further.
