Corrie actor turned crack head Craig Charles has been questioned by the police over his taxi cab drug binge.

The 42 year old radio presenter and star of Red Dwarf spent five and a half hours in custody yesterday answering questions about possessing the Class A drug.

According to the Daily Mirror Charles will now have to appear in court next month to face the charges.

Fans were shocked, and probably Charles himself, at the pictorial revelations of his huge crack habit in June which showed him taking a four hour car journey during which he continually smoked a crack pipe.

He has since spent time at a rehab centre in Chesire after vowing to beat his addiction after being suspended by Corrie producers and bosses at BBC 6 Music.
