A Korn fan beaten up in the mosh pit of a concert has died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

As reported on Gigwise yesterday (August 1) Andy Richardson, 30, was attacked by two men when he tried to protect his pregnant girlfriend and mentally ill child from rowdy fans.

Richardson was pronounced dead at 2pm local time yesterday in an Atlanta hospital.

Police have now launched a murder investigation and are searching for the two culprits.
