Shakira Tops UK Singles Chart

Latin singer Shakira has managed to knock boy band McFly off the top of the UK singles chart with her single ?Hips Don?t Lie?.

The collaboration with Wyclef Jean has already proved successful in the US and looks to do just as well in the UK after slowly climbing up the chart.

Christina Aguilera?s ?Ain?t No Other Man? has also been a slow burner, rising this week from number 18 to number 2.

Madonna?s new single ?Get Together? only managed to reach number 8 while Kasabian?s ?Empire? entered the chart at number 10.
