Ashlee Simpson has already proven that she has a hell of a lot more back bone then her big sister Jessica by standing up to their controlling father.
Whereas Jessica saved herself for her husband, Ashlee seems quite happy with he own personal choices when it comes to boyfriends.
The younger Simpson has been dating her band mate Braxton Olita since late 2005 and although she has no ring on her finger, friends say the couple are deeply committed to each other and Ashlee has told her father, Joe, to �butt out� of her love life.
A source told the National Enquirer: "Ashlee's never been a pushover for her parents. She's pretty much told Joe he can like it or lump it."
"When Joe suggested his younger daughter play the field, she held up her hand and told him to back off. Now that she and Braxton are talking marriage, she's giving her father advance warning that his advice is one wedding present she can live without."
Go Ashlee!!!! You don�t want a divorce at 25 do you?
