Morrissey has turned down a Hollywood film role because he is convinced he has no acting talent.
The reclusive former front man for The Smiths has no desire to show off his bad acting in the new Alec Baldwin film no matter how good the role is.
He said: "I recently had an offer to appear in a film starring Baldwin, where I'd play the part of a potty music teacher. It's ideal casting, of course, but I'm hampered by the slightly minor detail that I can't actually act.
"I couldn't convincingly play a dead person, even if I were actually dead. So that, sadly, is that. The world is spared."
