Pete Doherty has revealed that hes writing a solo album which should be with us by the end of the year.
Tentatively titled The Implant Sessions in reference to the drug suppressing treatment hes been given, it will be Dohertys first material since 2005s Down In Albion.
The troubled Babyshambler told the NME: Therell be a solo acoustic album released this year. It will differ from Babyshambles because it will just be me.
Reflecting on his drug addled problems of the past few months, he continued: "I went to (Portugal) to detox and got clean ready for the implant. Things just kept going wrong with the implant, it was like, some public holiday, then customs cut it open."
After Sweden, it was so bad I had to have a nasty, dirty old hit as soon as we got back to London. It fucked me up for three days."
