Robbie Williams' New Madonna Song Is No Tribute

Robbie Williams new song Shes Madonna may not be the fawning tribute hes made out it to be its apparently about her husband Guy Ritchies ex-lover Tania Strecker.

Williams had claimed the track a duet with Pet Shop Boys singer Neil Tennant was praising the veteran star, and even gave her a personal playback earlier this summer to reassure her he wasnt stalking her.

Madonna gave her approval to the track, but according to a report in the Daily Mirror today, the song actually refers to her husband Guy Ritchies parting words to TV presenter Strecker when he told her he couldnt see her anymore because of his new relationship with Madonna.

According to Strecker, Guy explained to her, Look, you know really I love you, but shes Madonna.

To make matters even more complicated, Strecker who has previously hinted she enjoyed liaisons with the film director when he was with Madonna went on to date Williams after breaking up with Ritchie, although they only lasted four months as a couple.

A source from the songs recording says, It seems Robbie always had this conversation in the back of his mind for a song.

Probably without releasing the subject matter behind the number, Madge gave the song the thumbs up when Robbie played it to her.

Guys not going to be happy that all this is being dredged up again. Although everyone concerned has moved on, its a bit out of order that Robbie has used it as the basis for one of his songs.

The song is off Williams upcoming  electro-pop album Rudebox74, and has been pencilled in for a dingle release early next year.
