Colin Farrell found himself in the middle of a gunfight whilst filming Miami Vice � fearing he was on the brink of being kidnapped.

The Irish star was shooting the new movie in the Dominican Republic when a drug runner fired off six bullets at one of the film�s crack security team.

Farrell, describing his panicked thoughts, tells The Sun, �I�m thinking they�re going to kidnap us and I�m going to be in a basement with a hood over my head eating porridge and water.�

Sounds like the 30-year-old�s been kidnapped before�.

However, the actor needn�t have worried, one of the film�s security squad returned fire and wounded the assailant.

Farrell�s co-star Jamie Foxx immediately flew home after the incident, and refused to return.

He�s still keeping schtum about the whole episode, explaining, �Some things you talk about, some you don�t.�
