Fall Out Boy have pretty much given up on their attempts to release a new album by the end of 2006 Pete Wentz has revealed.
The Las Vegans had promised fans another longer before the years end but it seems their busy schedule means it wont be possible.
Wentz told MTV: "We're still definitely pushing for it, but I don't know if we're going to be able to get the album out by the end of the year.
"We'd really love to do it, but in order for us to, things would be absolutely insane. The turnaround time would be insane. There will definitely be a single out by year's end though."
Apparently though its not all the bands fault, their label Island/Def Jam has to shoulder some of the blame too.
We've been ready to record for about the last three weeks, but there's been, um, if I go into specifics, I'll get into trouble
"There have been some changes at our label, a little bit of strangeness there. Half the phone numbers I have for people at the label don't have people on the other end of them anymore. It slowed us slightly, but we're getting back up to speed."
Wentz has, however, manage to pen some new songs with Patrick Stump and they currently have around twenty songs ready for their next studio excursion due at the end of this week with producer Neal Ayron.
Of the songs written so far Wentz singles out Me And You as a particular favourite which he describes as straight-up Motown.
