American Idol's Kellie Pickler Signs Record Deal

American Idol reject and butt of all those �dumb blonde� jokes Kellie Pickler has signed a record deal.

Sixth placed Pickler has inked a contract with 19 Recordings/ BNA Records which is owned by Idol�s creator Simon Fuller and also the home of Fantasia, Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard.

In a statement released yesterday Pickler gushed: "I've always dreamed of getting a record deal so now my dream has come true!"

Pickler is set to release her first single this fall with an album set to follow on November 14, we just hope there�s no songs about salmon on it!
