Port Vale FC Honour Robbie Williams

Port Vale have paid tribute to Robbie Williams by naming a restaurant suite after him.

Robbie bought a 25% stake in the football club he has supported since childhood earlier this year, and now the team have decided to honour him back.

The suite will cost 275,000 and is part of a 7million redevelopment of the Stoke-on-Trent ground.

Club chairman Bill Bratt told BBC news: "It will be a premium corporate area with a bar and restaurant and great views overlooking the surrounding area."

"He has given his permission and was very happy and proud and said yes without any hesitation when we asked.

"We would like to think he would come and see it but he is in the middle of a world tour at the moment but, when the football season starts we think he will be here."
