It has been revealed that when members of the  �Dateline� crew turned up at Britney Spears� Malibu mansion to interview the former pop princess she was lacking either of her publicists.

According to a PageSix.com source, neither Leslie Sloane Zelnick or Nanci Ryder were present during the interview. On top of this Spears insisted on fixing her own hair and make-up both of which have been criticised.

Why oh why doesn�t she spend some money on getting some decent extensions????

When Zelnick was asked why she was not at the interview she said: "Britney is a grown-up and makes her own decisions."

Yeah, bad ones...

The source said: When (the NBC crew) got there, they thought they had the wrong day . . . During the interview, no one was there to rein things in."

However, since the interview has been broadcast Spears� representatives are trying desperately to repair any damage caused,

The source continued: "They asked NBC not to release footage to places like E!,"
