Steven Gerrard warned the England team last night that they need to seriously improve their performance otherwise the World Cup dream is over.
Liverpool's Gerrard is worried that the team will be going home early, reports the Daily Star. Having helped get England into the knock-out stages by scoring an amazing goal in England's 2-0 game against Trinidad, Gerrard refuses to let the victories they have had mask the fact that they are struggling to be in top form.
He said: "This team needs to improve if we want to stay in Germany for a long time. We can play a lot better. We need to play at a higher tempo to break teams like that (Trinidad and Tobago) down."
