Ricky Gervais has finished filming an episode of Extras with David Bowie.

Bowie was a massive fan of the first series of the comedy and was apparently eager to secure a role on the show.

The episode features Gervais� character Andy bribing his way into a private club where Bowie is performing, only to be ejected when Bowie starts performing.

Madonna was also set to star in an episode but had to cancel when she realised filming clashed with her world tour.

Other celebs featuring in the second series are Sir Ian Mckellen, Orlando Bloom and Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe.
