Angelina Jolie has given birth to a baby daughter named Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
A representative for Jolie and partner Brad Pitt confirmed the baby finally arrived yesterday, following weeks of intense speculation.
Publicist Cindy Guagenti says, �The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. No further information is being given.�
Jolie gave birth in Namibia, after relocating to the country to escape the massive media attention focussed on the happy couple in their native America.
The baby�s name means �His Gift� in Hebrew.
Locals in the Walvis Bay area of the country were celebrating the birth this morning, with one, Delta van Noorten, saying, �It�s great! She�s put us on the map. It is a great thing.�
Shiloh is Pitt�s first child, whilst Jolie has two adopted children, Maddox, 4, and 1-year-old Zahara.
