'The Da Vinci Code' Makes Millions

Bad reviews have not hampered the massive success of The Da Vinci Codes opening weekend.

Ron Howard film adaptation of Dan Browns best seller has had the second most successful film opening in history taking $224million at the international box office.

The film topped both the North American and Canadian box office despite reviews that rendered the Tom Hanks performance as wooden and long and dull.

The Da Vinci Code could not beat the success of last years Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith which took a whopping $253million on its opening weekend.

The film and book is somehow still offending people all over the world, according to the BBC the book was burned in the main square of the village of Ceccano in Italy on Saturday evoking images of Nazi Germanynice.
