It has been claimed that Mariah Carey dined with a well known New York gangster while she was married to Tommy Mottola.

The claims have been made by Joaquin Manuel Garcia, a former FBI agent during his testimony at mob boss Greg De Palma's racketeering trial in Manhattan.

According to Handbag.com, Garcia has claimed that De Palma brought him onto the underground mob during which time he secretly recorded conversations.

During one of these recordings De Palma boasted about spending time with recording executive Mottola and his then wife Carey who he described as "very nice, very quiet, reserved".

However, a spokesperson for Mottola has his client spent any time with De Palma�we wait for word from the Carey camp on the matter.
