Simon Cowell has splashed out $11 million for Jennifer Lopez�s house � only to knock it down.
The American Idol judge snapped up the house last year, after reportedly �falling in love� with the Beverly Hills, Los Angeles property.
However, Cowell had second thoughts after apparently deciding the mansion�s interior was too ghastly for him � so decided to demolish the whole the thing.
A source tells the Daily Mirror, �Simon knows what he wants and as soon as he saw J-Lo's house, he had to have it. But it would appear that even Jennifer Lopez's plush pad simply wasn't good enough.
"When it comes to houses, money is no object for Simon so he hasn't batted an eyelid at spending an extra $5 million knocking the place down and rebuilding from scratch. He has certain ideas on what he wants it to look like and J-Lo's minimalist approach wasn't it.
"He is looking to create a more homely, lived-in feel and has lots of ideas for the different rooms."
