Graham Coxon has revealed that Blur have began recording new material but he wont be involved because he was in rehab when they started.
Coxon was in the Priory clinic battling alcohol addiction at the beginning of the sessions and so wont be involved.
He told XFM Manchester: "I was in the Priory and Blur went ahead and started recording you know ... it was just a decision they made.
Coxon added that he doesnt regret leaving the band because he had to himself and his family first when it came to his commitments.
He said: "I'm sort of like my own boss and I can sort of play when I want, record when I want, write when I want and I don't have to do anything that I don't wanna do.
"I still think I did the right thing, I still think myself and my daughter comes first."
