Exciting news for fans of the hilarious film, Bridesmaids after it was announced that writer, actress and all-round funny lady, Kristen Wiig is planning to write and direct a new comedy.
We can't believe it has been three years since Bridesmaids hit the cinemas, but hopefully we don't have too long to wait until we have another rip roaringly funny movie on our screens.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kristen and her Bridesmaids co-screenwriter Annie Mumolo have teamed up again to create a new film, which they will both also star in.

We don't have details of the plot as of yet, but the Hollywood Reporter reckons the two actresses play best friends who get involved in some (no doubt hilarious) shenanigans.
In a joint statement, the ladies did share: “We’re very excited to be writing, we will be going into a cave for months to finish. An actual cave.
“We found one that’s nice and big. We’re putting a couch in there.”
Let's just say we have high hopes for this film. Bridesmaids brought in over $288 million at the box office and even earnt two Academy Award nominations, including Best Original Screenplay. No pressure then!
