Emma Watson graduated from Brown University in Providence on Sunday, following six years of study, and just because she's a huge celebrity doesn't mean she can't enjoy those milestone moments other twentysomethings do, except her big day included an armed security guard.
It's unclear whether the Harry Potter star hired the armed guard herself, or it was provided for by the Ivy League university, but the actress was accompanied by the female security officer as she celebrated her graduation, alongside her mother.

The actress joined 2000 of her fellow students for the celebration on Sunday. It's taken Emma six years to complete the undergraduate degree in English Literature, some of which she undertook at Oxford University.
The Harry Potter actress has managed to juggle her studies as well as shooting several movies, including Noah and the Bling Ring.

Bizarrely the bodyguard later donned a cap and gown to fit in with the rest of the students. Emma never usually has such high security with her, so we're not sure what was expected to go down at the graduation.
