Music Stars Urge US To Withdraw Troops From Iraq

A host of music stars have urged the US to withdraw it�s troops from Iraq at a benefit concert entitled �Bring �Em Home Now!� in New York.

Moby, Michael Stipe, Bright Eyes, Peaches, Fischerspooner and Rufus Wainwright all performed for the event with proceeds going to Iraq Veterans Against The War and Veterans For Peace.

According to the BBC organisers say they sold 3,000 tickets for the Hammerstein Ballroom event on the third anniversary of the war beginning.

Moby told the audience, "I was raised by peace activists," while actress Susan Sarandon said: "It's awesome to me because there are more and more kids getting involved," of the movement.
