ITV are rumoured to be joining the bidding war for Big Brother once its contract with Channel 5 comes to an end later this year.
The Telegraph report that ITV 2 are likely to show an interest in the reality show following news their hit show TOWIE will be moved to new channel ITVBe later this year.

It's believed the removal of the Essex-based show will leave a prime time TV slot that will need to be filled.
The paper reports that "industry rumours" suggest ITV are prepared to go head-to-head with Channel 5 in order to bring the popular game show to their network.
While Big Brother has not been able to match the same viewing figures it had in its heyday on Channel 4, it would still be a good coup for ITV, with figures that regularly reach the top end of a million and sometimes the 2 million mark on Channel 5.
