'It's Still Haunting Me!': Kate Winslet Refuses To Sign Naked Titanic Picture

The actress was presented with the iconic image at the Divergent premiere

Kate Winslet may have made her name thanks to her sizzling chemistry with Leonardo DiCaprio in box office smash Titanic, but there's one aspect of James Cameron's movie she'd rather leave in the past.

The actress was just 21 when she starred opposite Leo in her first major hit, but 17 years on, Kate would rather fans didn't keep bringing up that one iconic scene. In the 1997 Oscar winner, Kate's character Rose is sketched by Leo's Jack, wearing nothing but the famous Heart of the Ocean necklace.

During the recent premiere for Kate's new movie Divergent, the star was presented with a copy of the drawing from the movie on the red carpet, but the actress refused to sign the racy picture.

"I don't sign that [picture]. It feels very uncomfortable", Kate told Yahoo movies. "Why would you do that? People ask me to sign that [picture] a lot.

"There's a photo of it as well that someone has lifted from a still of the film, and that photo gets passed around too," she continued. "I'm like 'No! I didn't mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing still 17 years later'."

"It's still haunting me. It's quite funny really," Winslet added.

While the actress wants to forget about that one scene in Titanic, she also recently revealed that her children haven't even seen her most famous film.

Talking to the BBC at the European premiere of Divergent the actress explained that her older children Mia and Joe are looking forward to finally watching one of their mum's movies: “They have read the book so they are really excited to see how the film turns out and to see mum doing something completely different," she said.

“They haven't actually seen anything really that I've done before they saw half of Titanic but that was about it. So this is particularly exciting for them.”
