More Mayhem! Shia LaBeouf Drops Out Of Latest Movie 'Rock The Kasbah'

Actor won't appear in Barry Levinson’s new comedy

Shia LaBeouf has dropped out of his latest film role - but it seems to be a much friendlier situation than his unceremonious exit from last year's Broadway incident.

The actor, whose recent antics have caused equal amounts of controversy and concern, was slated to star alongside Bill Murray, Kate Hudson, Danny McBride, Bruce Willis and Zooey Deschanel in Rock The Kasbah; a comedy-drama directed by Barry Levinson.

The movie will see Murray playing a washed-up rock manager desperate to squeeze is only client onto the line-up for a USO tour entertaining troops out in Afghanistan.

When that goes wrong, he meets a young girl with a sensational singing voice and agrees to help her through local TV talent show Afghan Star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, LaBeouf has pulled out of his original commitment to play a member of the military - but sources say it was an amicable decision.

He joined the project last month, just two months after he claimed to be retiring from the public eye. He has no other known filming commitments in his diary.

Earlier this year, while promoting Nymphomaniac, he famously stormed out of a press conference in the style of Eric Cantona, before walking the red carpet with a paper bag over his head.
